Digital Services Act (DSA)

What is DSA?
Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (Digital Services Act — DSA) establishes obligations for online platforms to create a safer and more transparent digital environment. RentGuest complies with these requirements as an accommodation services intermediary.

Reporting illegal content
In accordance with Art. 16 DSA, any user may report content they consider illegal (fake listings, scams, discriminatory content, intellectual property violations). The report must include:
- Description of the content considered illegal and the reason
- Direct link (URL) to the reported content
- Your contact details (name, email)
- Good faith statement regarding the accuracy of the information
Send the report to: [email protected] with the subject line 'DSA Report'.
We will acknowledge receipt of the report within 24 hours and take a reasoned decision within a reasonable timeframe.
Content moderation
RentGuest does not review listings in advance and has no general obligation to monitor content published by owners, under Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065. When we receive a report, we analyse the flagged content and remove anything that violates the terms and conditions or applicable law, and the user is notified with the reason for the decision.
Right to appeal
If your content has been removed or your account has been restricted, you may appeal the decision within 6 months by emailing [email protected]. The appeal will be reviewed by a person different from the one who made the initial decision. You will receive a reasoned response within 15 business days.
Transparency report
In accordance with Art. 15 DSA, RentGuest will publish an annual transparency report including information about content moderation, reports received, and actions taken. The first report will be available one year after launch.
